The New Wave of Urban Bachata is Destino
Born of a desire to feed the ever changing musical appetite of the most culturally diverse city in the world, New York, Destino has arrived to satisfy that hunger. This band of young, talented performers utilizes its musical roots of bachata, hip hop, R&B, reggaeton and traditional ballads to give a sensational show. Audiences rave of Destino's command of the
stage and memorable songs which encompass English and Spanish lyrics.
Notable highlights of Destino's career, to date, include their show stopping performance at the renowned Jet Set Cafe; appearing with the legendary bachata singer Leonardo Paniagua; as well as being invited to perform at the recent Puerto Rican Day Parade Festival in Spanish Harlem, where they sang their hit single "Te Quiero Llevar" to an arousing crowd.

Allongé Dance Variations
~ Alison Bogatay has choreographed, taught and performed in many venues throughout the state since relocating from NYC in 1998. She is the Artistic Director of Allongé Dance Variations, which was established in 2006 with the intention of fusing Spanish flamenco with contemporary dance and ballet. The Hartford-based company has received recognition for its in-school workshops, master classes and guest appearances.
~ This happily marks the 9th year performing for the CT Latino Expo. Once again, talented musicians and students are featured. Along with returning adult dancers from the Greater Harford area, special guests are Blackledgemusic Inc.’s Director, Helene Rosenblatt on flute and guitarist Dave Giardina.
~ ADV also performs regularly at the NBC Health & Wellness Festival and Ted Hershey Dance & Music Marathon.

Northern League, kicked off their career not with an album or single, but with a slew of television,soundtrack and movie appearances. Members A.B. and FS Beatz met while attending high school in their hometown of New Haven, CT. After graduating, the duo cut and began to shop their demos, while also making their mark on the indie band scene they quickly recruited a younger Keith Logan in 2003 and began there attack on the mix-tape world, racking up 20,000+ sales independently. Los Menores, Raffee / Purple Hayz, empesaron sus carreras haciendo musica para basilar y para expressar las cosas de sus ambientes. Rafael (Raffee) Morales nacio el 30 de julio del 1985 en Rio Piedras, PR. A Raffee siempre le a gustado la musica de todas clases. En 1993 se mudo para New Haven, Ct con su mamá y sus dos hermanitos. Conozio la media mitad de Los Menores en el 1994. En el 2005 fue cuando Raffee empeso a escribir y decidió que era su llamado. Andres (Purple Hayz) Rivera Jr. nacio el 10 de abril del 1987. Purple Hayz siempre le encanto la musica por la influencias de sus tios y abuelo que tocan la conga, güiros, guitaras. Purple Hayz se mudo para la isla por 10 meses conectandoses con un productor llamado Villano. El le enseño los pasos para hacer pistas y le dio su primer programa de hacer pistas. The Workshop is a premier Hip-Hop dance group. Members of this core group have extensive experience in dance instruction/ coaching, performance and choreography. Although the team's concentration is Hip Hop, the dancers are also classically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Latin/International and other dance forms.
Bio- Justice has been controlling the microphone since the late nineties as a kid. His sound is unique and his lyrics inspirational. He has been featured on many mixtapes and has performed up and down the east coast. His following is growing and his music has caught the attention of multiple labels. With his debut solo album when the snake rattles soon to release justice continues to rise to the top. Not only is justice a great writer he has produced music for other artists as well. Most recently justice opened up for slaughter houses own joell ortiz at a packed house.. skies the limit come be a part of this up and coming artist.
Pedro Valentin Orq. Performing with his 10 piece Salsa Band
For 15 years Pedro Valentin has let his voice and musicianship stay hidden in the credit lines. For 15 years, his rhythms and tone have blended and mixed with other back up singers to support famous Latin stars. During those years, Pedro played the trombone and percussions, never demanding a bigger spotlight. Now, after 15 years, Pedro is stepping up and getting his own spotlight. Sharing his Puerto Rican roots, Pedro is also a long time resident of CT, husband and father of two. His remarkable talent bridges the music of his two nations as he brings his voice and musicianship to the forefront with his Salsa band, Valentin 45. Valentin 45 showcases his musical and vocal talents. His band features salsa, Latin jazz, meringue and bolero.
Valentin’s musical talent has come from his family. His father Pedro senior, taught his two sons the fundamentals of music from a young age, strumming songs on his guitar from their home in Cabo Rojo Puerto Rico. Pedro junior would play the guiro, a cultural instrument used to keep rhythm . By the time Valentin was six years old, he had performed on local radio stations with his father and older brother. Valentin listened to his father, and strived to emulate him. As the lead singer his father gave him a role model. While he credits his father with teaching him music and instilling in him the drive and focus to own his craft., Valentin acknowledges that it was his wife, Blanca, who finally was able to push him into the limelight. Her inspiration has produced in him a place that he had only observed from sidelines.
Valentin has been a trombone player for La India, (a famous Latin diva) at the Concierto de Clandestine, a televised event on Telemundo, November 2007. He also sang as a back up singer for Tony Vega. Tony, a famous Latin performer gave Valentin advice on starting his own solo career after hearing him sing the hit song, “Yo tengo lo que te gusta”. "That’s the song that has opened all the doors,” Valentin said. "It's still playing in Puerto Rico. In many ways, the advice was to keep your head straight. Don’t do anything that will hurt your vocals". Tony Vega told me, “ you've got a very good future .” The support of his wife, Blanca together with Tony Vega's recognition, "made me confident about what I am doing".
Sunday Performances
The name of the group is Pureza Latina Dance Group. The ages of the dancers are from 13 - 38 years old. We have 6 females and 4 males that practice 2 - 3 times a week for 2 hours. We started dancing for the first time in January 2006 in the Three Kings' Day Parade. Over the last 4 years, we have danced in different activities and events for the Hispanic communities in Hartford and towns near by.
Our founder, Mariel Concepcion and her friend, Jasoni Ramos decided there was a need and a desire for kids to have a community program where they could dance and bring the Puerto Rican culture to many people.

Choque Kultural no tan solo es un grupo musical pero un movimiento de entretenimiento. Este equipo se compone de cantantes, productores, y letristas que aspiran cambiar el genero de la Musica Urbana. Como artistas, mezclan estilos variados como el Reggaeton, Techno, R&B y mas para formar un sonido diferente. Sus integrantes son Jason Rodriguez (letrista/rapero), Jaylee Jordan (corista/productor), Marcelino Class (Productor) y Jose Crespo (compositor de letras). En su poco tiempo de existencia, Choque Kultural han logrado llenar distintos lugares y cantar en vivo en Telemundo varias veces(Fuego Latino). Tambien han tenido el privilegio de ser escogidos como unos de los Top 10 Talentos "din firma" en el genero de Reggaeton por GotDembow.net. Sus colegas y fanaticada los comparan como el grupo "Aventura" del reggaeton, con sus temas ingeniosos. "Tratamos de crear temas interesantes y mas fino. Buscamos nuestra inspiracion en la vida real y en generos como la Salsa, Rock y R&B....para no sonar tan repetitivo como los demas." Dice el corista/productor Jordan. Ahora trabajan en su mixtape (Amor y Lujuria) y su primer disco (Los Digitalez) que se espera para Marzo e Abril. Espere temas y sonidos diferentes de este grupo.
